The story follows Elsie, a were-female, daughter of an alpha who is given as a mate to the alpha of the neighboring territory. I started reading this book because the description sounded promising but soon enough found it lacking. Elsie is 19 and by following her train of thought, how surprised she is by basic interactions with her new mate gives me an idea that she lead a very sheltered life. So sheltered in fact that she did not even have access to a library, TV or friends her age. There is very little description about pack policy, their inner workings and other things that usually accompany this type of book. There was excellent potential for this book, but it came out very unremarkable and sadly bland.
