Storm Siren

Storm Siren - Mary Weber I have seen the cover, and fallen for it...

There is no rating for this book because i got only a handful of chapters in. I have sampled the merchandise and know enough that i won't be continuing.

This book starts with slavery, unconvincing slavery. This girl exchanged 14 owners, and has more sass than van full of drag queens. On top of it all she is some kind of elemental that is unpredictable and extremely dangerous. And nobody has killed her yet.

It would appear that slaves here have a different meaning than I am accustomed to. They are arsey, full of bad attitude and smugness. Don't get me wrong, i am not saying anything against a strong character, just one would think since somebody might have your life in their hands you would behave a smidgen differently. The start was so completely unbelievable, and as the story progressed it seemed to continue in the very same note.

one doesn't have time for such affairs
